Youths Fellowship @ Ascension Church

Our heavenly father has blessed and continues to bless all the youths of CSI Ascension church to build his kingdom and to be a witness to him in this 21st century.

God has been gracious to use the youths for the extension of His Kingdom. God has also provided them the opportunity to conduct intercessory prayer and bible study every 4th Sunday after the regular church service. God has also been gracious enough to use them to lead the praise and worship on Sunday service. The youths want to strive to live the way God wants them to live and become harvesters for His Kingdom.

The youth fellowship is an active, enthusiastic group and they meet every 4th Sunday of the month. Always showing growth in the use of their time, talents and treasures for the praise & glory of God. Every normal Sunday worship is always accompanied by the praise & worship session led by the youth fellowship along with lively congregation of CSI Ascension Church.

Bible studies and prayers are the life blood of the youth fellowship. Endeavouring always to keep the unity of Spirit in the bond of peace.

Women’s Fellowship @ Ascension Church

We regard all the women of the Church are God’s amazing gift to human race. We treat them with utmost respect and decency. They are an integral part of the Church functions and guiding all the family members in a strong foundation of prayer and bible words and creating a future leader for God’s kingdoms expansion. They range from prayer warriors - hard working mom's - diligent house wives and great leaders exhibiting the real empowerment.

The women's fellowship is one of the most humble, yet most powerful and strong strength of the Church. They employ their strengths and skills in the cooking, sales and leading the worship with sweet singing.

They're vibrant in their participation in all the retreats and special programmes be it Bible Quiz, Prayer meetings, fasting prayers including sports and games.

Sunday School @ Ascension Church

“Sunday School originated in Gloucestershire during the 18th century. Late. Mr. Robert Raikes opened a place for kids working in factories, who had only Sundays off. He kept them engaged by teaching them to read & write, so that they do not commit crimes or mischief during the factory off-days. That’s how the first Sunday school started in 1780.”

In Honour of Mr. Robert Raikes World Sunday School day is celebrated on 1st Sunday of November every year.

CSI Ascension Church Sunday School journey started around 50 years back when the Church was built as Ascension Prayer Hall by Late. Rt. Rev. N. C. Sargent.

Vision and Mission “Train a Child in the way he should go & when he is old, he will not turn from it.” – Proverbs 22 :6. The vision of Sunday school is to lead the children towards Christ, enriching them with His Knowledge, Love, and preparing them as His disciples.

The mission of the CSI Ascension Church Sunday school is to facilitate each and every child to grow with Christian values through relevant Biblical teaching, enriching their scripture knowledge and understanding, developing leadership qualities among them and bring them up as a good citizen of this and eternal world. God has been gracious and has provided some of best talented Sunday school Children and Mentors.

Objectives

Conduct Sunday school classes as per the plan every week
Conduct VBS Class at the time of summer vacation.
Develop leadership qualities among the Children and to create a platform for fostering the children’s talents and involving them in spiritual growth on personal and at church level
Involving children in various competitions and talent shows at Church, inter church, KCD Civil and City Area Levels.
Facilitate and coach children to participate in external and internal scripture exams and Inter Sunday school programs to exhibit their talents and to glorify God.
